RADmag was thrilled to host our second annual clothing swap back in February. The event took place at eative filmcafe, a cozy cafe in the heart of Kensington Market. A success to say the least, the swap was filled with mingling bodies, great finds, and hot drinks to help keep out the cold air.
Clothing swaps have become the go-to eco-friendly (& affordable) way to completely overhaul your closet. More than that, they create a party-like atmosphere that encourages conversation and collaboration. Our great collab of the night was with Erica Caruso and her retail brand, The Factory. The event featured a pop-up of some of The Factory’s latest finds, which included tons of repurposed and vintage finds from across Toronto. To shop and find out more about The Factory click here.
Lucky for us, our big turnout meant tons of items to choose between. We had everything from women’s and men’s outerwear, to accessories and shoes. All leftover clothing was then donated to Covenant House to help clothe Toronto’s Youth.
The exceptional night was highlighted by our amazing participants and readers, in addition to the many local clothing swappers who stopped by! People came out to support a good cause, indulge in some sweet cafe' pleasures and shake up their closet.
Check out some snaps from the night below! All taken by our social media guru, Amanda Skrabucha.
