We’ve all had those moments: scrolling through our top feeds, looking for that perfect laugh out loud meme, when we come across something so angelic we just have to click. Whether it’s a perfectly plated dish or a lit-to-perfection selfie, Instagrammers have the power to make us want just about anything. In only 5 short years, Instagram has gone from being the trendy millennial picture app to something that can actually kickstart your career. These 5 Instagrammers (all from T.O!) are not only some of our fave’s, but hold a special place in RADmag’s heart through their beautifully-articulated aesthetics.
Doodles and Asian inspired design sums up Jennifer Barron’s instagram page. Her feed is filled with Katakana lettering (Japanese alphabet), Hayao Miyazaki inspired fashion, and her self-described “doodles” - which are really more like masterpieces. With a primarily black and white palette, Jenny’s feed is the perfect go-to for the minimalism-lover in all of us.
Scenic landscapes, street views, portraits, and street art are just some of what’s to be expected from Tahaphoto. A beautiful combination of black and white and colour make for a unique feed that is very Toronto.
@kdturpin (also behind online menswear shop ACE/FIVE) is THE account for those interested or looking for some men’s fashion inspo, or just some cool visuals as a whole. A combo of outfits (on many different models) and high contrast visuals, Kyle’s feed follows a unique theme.
Taylor’s account is on the minimal, but still cheery side. With high-colour and high-quality visuals, her feed poses the ideal contrast between fashion, design, and just some super cool views of the city. She also has an account that follows colour themes the further you scroll, which adds an interesting layer to her aesthetic. Featured on instagram and a member of the #CreatorClass, Tay's aesthetic has gained her lots of attention. When she's not posting to her own account, you can find her running the instagram of Uniq Find, Toronto based accessory company ( @UNIQFIND ). Tay is also in RTA at Ryerson ~ and yes, she looks just as good walking Gould street as she does in her photos!
Bianca’s account is also very T.O. Her feed sets itself apart not only through exclusive photos of events and merch, but through a super cohesive colour scheme that is neutral with the perfect amount of pops of colour. For one of our favourite cohesive feeds, we are proud to call Bianca a peer at Ryerson!
