Jenna Saunders is a fourth year Ryerson fashion design student. Originally from New York Saunders decided to study at Ryerson because of her love of the city of Toronto. In her second year she took it upon herself to learn about bra-making and intimate apparel design and she fell in love with it. She believes every woman has the right to a well-fitting and beautiful bra, and hopes in the future to be able to provide that for woman.
When designing Saunders like to keep things simple, but often offsets with bright colours and crazy patterns. She is currently working on her final collection for Ryerson's Mass Exodus in April. The collection is a lingre and lounge wear collection that is fun and whimsical but also keeps in mind every woman's support needs.
After school Saunders plans to continue her education in intimate apparel while working towards starting her own custom bra company. Saunders believes a well-fitting bra can be life changing and make a difference in how a woman carries herself. As such she hopes to use her skills to make a difference in woman's lives.
This collection was inspired by her love for drafting and custom design. The bras and underwear shown were made specifically using her room-mate and friend's measurements and thus are tailored to her specific needs.
