Dimitar Dangov is drawn to the notion of androgyny in clothing, intentionally depicting genderless forms that rely on the wearer’s body to transform the garment.
Dimitar’s attention to detail and design manipulation can be traced back to his previous education in photography at OCAD University. As an aspiring fashion designer currently in his 3rd year at Ryerson’s School of Fashion, Dimitar incorporates his visual arts education into his creation of clothing, and often takes traditional design conventions and manipulates their placement and purpose.
Overall, he seeks to create garments that the wearer connects to in a physical and conceptual way. In the near future Dimitar plans to further develop his label, dimitardangov, and complete his Masters in fashion design at the world-renowned Central Saint Martins in London, England.
